Talis continues to provide annual road condition assessment services to Ventia, in support of the service contracts to VicRoads.
In 2022 this included annual pavement condition survey for 840 lane kms of arterial roads maintained under contract for VicRoads. The assessment was undertaken through Talis’s automated (laser profilometer) methods to establish road roughness, rutting, texture as well as the surface condition through assessment of cracking and other defects.
Initially works also involved the capture of various assets on the network including signage, traffic control assets, drainage and other structures to populate a newly implemented asset management system.
