Talis was engaged by the City of Onkaparinga to conduct an automated and visual condition survey of their sealed road network. The survey also included the capture and condition assessment of traffic control devices.
The scope of works consisted of:
Asset Inventory Inspection
- Validate existing inventory and specified attribute fields for all sealed road segments and traffic management devices.
- Capture new or unrecognised asset records in accordance with the data capture requirements and include the assets in the following condition assessments
Condition and Defect Inspection
- Conduct detailed visual defect capture in accordance with Council’s specifications, identifying defect types, severity, and extent to inform maintenance and capital works programs
- Capture automated high-speed data such as roughness, rutting, and texture data using a profilometer
Reporting
- Use inspection findings to confirm and prioritise roads proposed for resealing in the 25/26 and 26/27 financial years
- Provide a summary report evaluating the success of the project
We are once again proud to partner with the City of Onkaparinga in maintaining and enhancing their road infrastructure for the community. Because stronger communities start with stronger infrastructure.
