Taking time out to unplug from work and enjoy some social downtime has always been part of Talis’s work culture. Here’s what we have been up to lately..…
Between our consulting work, we have had some solid downtime activities going on.
Our recent Winter Solstice Sundowner transformed the office into a warm cosy entertainment hub – featuring none other than Olaf herself hosting a few rounds of old fashioned “cheeky calls” bingo, with prizes that had everyone sweating for their number. The Mario Kart championships that brought out everyone’s competitive spirit, making the winners feel worthy of being on the F1 grid. To top it off, the hot chocolate, mulled wine, platters and pizza made sure everyone was well-fed and satisfied. It was such a fun way to finish a busy week.
Then there was our cultural day potluck – easily one of our favourite traditions! Celebrating the cultural diversity that makes Talis such a unique and vibrant workplace, staff brought dishes that represent their cultural backgrounds, childhood memories, and time shared with family.
Our midweek “Wednesday Warmers” with chai and hot chocolate is something we look forward to, always an execute to have a break and beat the chills.
What makes these events particularly meaningful is that they’re organised by our own staff members and committees who know how to bring people together.
