FOGO in NSW

| < 1 min read

New South Wales (NSW) has now implemented a state-wide mandate for Food Organics and Garden Organics (FOGO) recycling, a major step in diverting food waste from landfills and turning it into compost.
NSW Parliament has passed legislation to ensure FOGO collection services for households by July 2030, with businesses and institutions starting July 2026.

📢 As of November 2024, only 57 out of 128 councils in NSW have implemented FOGO bins.
